Marnie Cavanaugh is thrilled to be part of the team at Wonders Pediatric Therapy as an Occupational Therapy Aide. She recently graduated from UCLA with a degree in Anthropology and plans to pursue her Master’s in Occupational Therapy in the coming years.
What drew Marnie to occupational therapy is the way it beautifully blends science and creativity into a meaningful career. She also appreciates the educational aspect of the field, as she enjoys teaching and engaging in the learning process. Marnie is inspired by the Occupational Therapists she has worked with at Wonders Pediatric Therapy and has witnessed firsthand how even small victories can make a profound difference in a child’s confidence and independence - a truly priceless thing to see.
Marnie has always loved working with children and brings over six years of experience supporting kids in both school and in-home settings. Through these experiences, she has come to admire how creative, curious, and resilient children are, and she continues to be inspired by their unique ways of engaging with the world.
Anaya Harrison has nearly five years of experience working with children across diverse settings. Since high school, she has served as both a babysitter and a swim instructor, teaching children of all abilities—including many who are neurodivergent or have physical disabilities. Through these experiences, she has developed patience, creativity, and a deep understanding of the importance of meeting each child where they are.
Anaya’s philosophy centers on the belief that positive interactions and trust form the foundation of all meaningful progress. She strives to ensure that every child and family feels respected, valued, and heard, fostering an environment where true growth, confidence, and healing can take place.
Her work with neurodivergent children in the pool sparked her passion for occupational therapy. Seeing her students achieve milestones that once seemed out of reach and hearing parents express their gratitude for the progress made - motivated her to pursue a career focused on helping children build essential life skills through play and creativity.
Outside of work, Anaya enjoys reading romance novels, building Legos, swimming, and spending time with her friends and family.
At Wonders Pediatric Therapy, Marnie hopes to create a welcoming and safe environment where children can play freely and learn through play. She enjoys connecting with families and celebrating each child’s progress as they achieve goals that once felt out of reach.
Outside of work, Marnie loves hiking through the beautiful redwoods of the East Bay Hills, discovering new matcha shops, and traveling the world with family and friends.
